DNIPROPETROVSK CENTER FOR VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL TRAINING OF THE STATE EMPLOYMENT SERVICE

The Centre was established in 2009 as a state institution of adult vocational education within the employment service system to meet the staffing needs of employers. Today, the Centre is actively introducing information and communication technologies into the educational process, using full-time, distance and dual forms of education, and cooperating with international partners on educational projects. Over the past 15 years, more than 15,000 unemployed people, including ATO participants, combatants, and internally displaced persons, who have been trained at the centre, have been able to complete their studies, find a job, and upgrade their careers.

  • Teaching staff: - General information about the teaching staff (total number, number with experience in international projects (if any), number of mobility participants).
    The educational process of the Dnipro VET Centre of the SES is provided by 20 (21) teachers, including 1 candidate of pedagogical sciences, 7 with the pedagogical title of ‘Teacher-methodologist’ and ‘Master of the first category’ and ‘Master of the second category’, 8 specialists of the highest category. Teachers and masters of industrial training provide vocational training, retraining and advanced training for adults, mainly unemployed people registered with the employment service, to provide the labour market and employers with qualified workers. Training is provided in accordance with state and professional education standards. Teachers have their own teaching aids and methodological developments, participate in scientific and practical seminars, conferences and educational forums.

    The licensed capacity of the Dnipro VET Centre of the SES is 391 people. Students are unemployed citizens, working people, including combatants, internally displaced persons and their families. The Centre provides psychological support to students to help them adapt to learning and further socialisation. In addition, the educational programmes include the subjects of job search techniques and the development of universal competences - Soft Skills. 

  • Information on cooperation with other educational institutions or enterprises in Ukraine (1 sentence per 1 organisation - name of the partner organisation, type of cooperation (practice, joint educational programme, joint events, internships, mobility, projects, etc.).
    - In cooperation with the Institute of Vocational Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and VET institutions of the region, in 2020-2023, the results of the research work were conducted and defended as part of an all-Ukrainian experiment on the topic ‘Formation of Entrepreneurial Competence of Future Skilled Workers in the Service Sector in the Process of Vocational Training’.
    - In 2019-2021, under the auspices of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO, information and educational events were held for students and residents of local communities in the Dnipro region to promote the right to lifelong learning and develop modern competencies to enter the labour market.
    - Cooperation with enterprises and institutions of Dnipro and other regions on vocational training and retraining of workers to ensure production with modern personnel and provide additional qualifications and skills that meet the changes in production processes today. Among the enterprises: PJSC ‘Oril-Leader’, LLC ‘DMZ KOMINMET’, LLC “UKRSPETSNALADKA”, Municipal Enterprise ‘Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Clinical Centre for Diagnostics and Treatment’, SE, Diprovsky Orphanage, ROMENSKOE CONSUMER SOCIETY, SPE ‘SK PROMETHEUS’, JSC ‘Oshchadbank’ and others.

    - Since 2015, the Centre has been actively involved in international projects in various areas: cooperation with employers to reform vocational education, development of entrepreneurial competencies and digital skills of citizens, including ATO participants, combatants, IDPs and their families, and people with disabilities caused by war.
    - Cooperation with the SEQUA organisation of the German Government and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ GMBH) within the framework of the international programme ‘Vocational Education in Ukraine/Skills4Recovery’ in the project ‘Fast Track to Employment’: training of adults in the professions of forklift driver and nursing assistant.
    - Cooperation with the NGO ‘UKRAINIAN PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT’: short-term training was organised and conducted within the framework of the project ‘Training for Change: Short-term Vocational Training Courses for Adults’ in the following areas: ‘Specialist in Supply, Logistics and Warehousing’ and ‘Forklift Driver’.
    - Within the framework of the Vocational Education in Ukraine/Skills4Recovery Programme and the initiative "Strong Labour Market Institutions: Comprehensive Modernisation of the State Employment Service and Vocational Education Providers" initiative implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine, the Centre's teachers participated in events (seminars, trainings, forums, etc.) to intensify the work of VET institutions on the professional reintegration of vulnerable groups, including combatants, IDPs and people with disabilities, and to improve the skills of the adult population - to acquire the working professions necessary for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
    - A series of ‘Own Business’ trainings were held for unemployed citizens of Dnipropetrovska oblast, organised by Junior Achievement Ukraine as part of the project ‘Business Skills for Economic Growth: Training Courses for Students, Vocational Educators and Start-Up Entrepreneurs’ on behalf of the German Federal Government and conducted in cooperation with the State Employment Centre.
    - In 2025, as part of the Skills4Recovery Multi-Donor Initiative project ‘Support to the Modernisation of Vocational Education and Training in Ukraine - Vocational Training 2025’, implemented with the financial support of the Democracy Support 2025 Programme under the Polish Development Cooperation Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, a grant project "Modernising the Future: Vocational Training for All".
